Letter R

Daily Question: Have you ever seen a rabbit?

Snack: Goldfish crackers and red fruit snacks.

Toys: Large Town Rug, Race Cars and Track, Duplo Race Set of locks, Potato Heads.

We had a lot of fun playing this morning. Olivia built a futuristic race track up into space.


Snack Time:
During Snack Time, we listened to Raindrop, Plop! We also read Crunch Munch which is about the sound animals make while eatting.


We heard a shortened version of Rip Van Winkle by Washington Irving.


We talked about what holiday is coming up this month--Valentines! Valentines is when we remember our friends and loved ones. We read What DO You Love?



What Do You Love?
Hugh--trucks and tigers.
Nathan--cars and Legos! (After Legos was mentioned everyone echoed that they liked them too!)
Susie--birdies and YOU! (Mom)
Olivia--Playing Frisbee with my mom and Colton at Grandpa's with his dog.
Eva--fruit snacks!


Special Show and Tell: Today the children got to see, hold, and pet our family's rabbits, Wesley (Dutch mini Lopp) and Fuzzini (Netherland Dwarf Lionhead).



Board Discussion of R Words: Red, rocket, rabbit, rain, race, rough, roar, radish, rat, raccoon, race-car (compound word--a word made of two words put together), run, rose, ripple, etc.
