Have you ever seen a moose?
Toys: FP Little People, Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, Littlest Pet Shops, and Army figurines.
Snacks: Blueberry mini muffins, Simply Fruit leather, Peanut Butter crackers, soaked Pumpkin Chocolate Chip muffins, and milk.
Songs: Do you know the Muffin Man?
M the moose tells his mother he can eat up all the meatballs "m-m-m." Students say the "m" sound while patting their tummies.
We discussed healthy foods that begin with Mm: macaroni, meat, milk, muffins, marshmallows (not so healthy!), and munchies.
Recess: Again, we enjoyed the cold, sometimes windy but sunny outdoors. Thank you parents for sending appropriate clothing for these cold days. The children had a blast again playing together with leaves!
We had fun reading If You Give a Moose a Muffin about a moose who wanted a muffin, about the great taste of spaghetti in More Spaghetti I Say!, and talked about Pete's a Pizza (a bored boy can't go out to play ball in the rain and so his creative parents pretend to prepare him as a pizza).
Arts and Crafts Project: Today, to reinforce M the moose, we colored pictures of a moose shaped as an M who can only eat the M munchies in the word strip. (See photo).
